Get data out of your Dentrix Enterprise system and into Infusionsoft
The first thing you realize when you get Infusionsoft is that all your data is in your Dentrix Enterprise database and not in Infusionsoft. Infusionsoft can't do a thing for you if it doesn't have any data.
There are two ways to fix this.
The first way is to do a daily manual export from Dentrix Enterprise and then manually import that into Infusionsoft.
This requires about 50 steps and has to be done exactly right or it won't work. It doesn't automatically launch campaigns, you have to do that manually too. And you can't export all the data you need. It also takes hours every day and if something goes wrong you spend hours trying to fix it.
The second approach is to do double-entry.
This means that each time your staff enters a new patient into Dentrix Enterprise, they login to Infusionsoft and enter the patient there too. Each appointment is entered in both systems by your staff. Each recall, treatment plan, overdue balance, and payment. If an appointment date and time changes, your staff must remember to make the change in Infusionsoft too.
The double-entry approach only works if your staff always remembers to update Infusionsoft, otherwise the systems get out of sync and patients and staff get confused.
