Infusionsoft Sync for Gmail

Gave it a shot and would be a solution for us but, it only syncs to your personal GMail calendar. I wanted to sync to a group/shared calendar I have ownership of.

Not a solution for me.

I had the same problem as below. I was told that a ticket would be raised. No ticket has been raised 24 hours later. I though I was the only person to have this problem. I am now wondering what is going on here.

The decision to drop the inbox functionality seems to me to be completely against the whole philosophy of a totally integrated all in one system.

As a customer of over 5 1/2 years I wonder if I need to look for another fully integrated system.

As for the current problem are there many others experiencing the same problem?

It also seems no one from Infusionsoft is addressing our comments here. I have started to use the gmail plug in but it is not syncing my emails and after almost three weeks this problem still exists.

Have they become too big to support those who were around in the early days!

For 5 years I've been using infusionsoft native Inbox tool.
Is not pretty but does the job.
What I love about the native Inbox tool:
* Download messages from multiple email accounts and have all messages on a single window.
* Click on contact and get full details about the contact on your main window and if you clicl on another contact, the same window reloads with the other contact.
* You never leave infusinosoft UI
* Merge fields work when sending messages to users.
* You can have templates with ~Contact.FirstName~ and don't have to write the names every time.

Yesterday, the tool suddenly stopped downloading emails and Infusionsoft support told me there was a problem but they didn't know when it was this going to bee fixed and -to my surprise- that I should stop using the inbox tool because they are getting rid of it.

Their solution was to start using Gmail Sync....
Today I installed the Gmail Sync tool and I must say I am very disappointed

What I hate about Gmail Sync tool:
* I have about 200 templates with answers full of merge fields that do now work now with this tool.
* If I want to reply to a message inside Infusionsoft and have the merge fields work, I have to wait for the sync process (every 30 mins) to take place so I can click reply tho the message the user sent me.
* I can only check email for one account at a time, if I need to check a second email address, I need to log-out gmail and log back in with the second account.
* When I click "Go to full infusionsoft record" inside Gmail Sync, I get a new window for every contact and I have to keep closing windows to avoid making mistakes.

This is not a replacement tool for native Inbox tool at all
Very slow, very limited, no real integration.

This tool wants you to work outside Infusionsoft with a limited interface instead of using the full interface that we all use every day.

This is a big issue for my operations because now things are more complex instead being simpler.

Love the concept...wish it worked....
Was good for about a week...now it wont up date any of my calenders. Back to searching for something that works.....will check back in a month hopefully issues will be fixed.

I love this app. The fact that it auto opens the client record of the e-mail I am looking at is so cool. Totally worth the 4 stars. This is not latching the inbound e-mails (tieing your mail accounts into your user settings in IS I believe is what does that). I didn't give it 5 stars is for two reasons. The calendar sync has a funky delay? Also, there is no way from the Gmail app to push IS contacts into Gmail contacts. It is cool that we can now do that with the Mobile IS app, but even then, it is not a sync. Best practice is to view Infusionsoft as the hub / system of record.

It was extremely useful when it was GmailCore. Since being acquired by Infusionsoft, it's broken and useless. Very disappointing. Would give it zero stars if I could.

As others have already said: This is not what you would look for if you wanted to synch Gmail and Infusionsoft.

Here is what I want but do not get:

Whenever I get a mail it appears in infusionsoft so my colleagues can see it.
Whenever I send a mail to a contact the mail is synched to IS so my colleagues can see it.

I do not want a sidebar in gmail where I have to log in every time I start my browser. It should just synch and not bother me.

Overall: This feature is super necessary because without it IS is not a real CRM.

Nothing about this is a "sync". It manually pushes data from one system to the other, but absolutely not a sync. Not very helpful. I can't use the calendar option; way too confusing to tell all my IFS users: "Don't try to change the appointment date/time in google" even when it can be seen in google.

Wanted to rate it zero stars, but the submission form won't let me. So, it gets a 1.

This app does not work and is complete waste of time. Shame on you, InfusionSoft, for promoting it. What a joke. If I could rate it less than one star I would.

You can't use it if you're using Gmail's Priority Inbox. Complete fail.

Not sure why this is getting so many 1 star ratings. This program works great by linking your Gmail/Google Apps for Business to your Infusionsoft customer data. It adds the IScalendar to be view able on my normal calendar and ties all the email data in together. Amazing

The app works fine if you simply add an appointment in Infusionsoft. However, we use a form to create appointments, so the client automatically receives reminder emails about their appointment and it populates the address into the Google Calendar appointment since Infusionsoft doesn't have a mobile App. Using this form, the appointments do not appear in GoogleCal. We have to use the Infusionsoft lab, pull up the appointment, 'edit' the appointment (even though we don't make changes), hit save - and the appointment appears. A HUGE WASTE OF TIME. If the appointment appears in Infusionsoft by using the form - you would think they could get that on the Google Calendar. nope.... Disappointed in the app and hope IS will soon get a mobile app.

Absolutely terrible application! If you want your emails to actually show up in the Infusionsoft records, then don't waste your time with this application. Although Gmail by itself is great, only half of the emails you send out will actually be in you client records.

This is actually not a "real" Google Cal appointment. You have to add it to the cal to get all the benefits like notifications

Would like to see this have the ability to see the contact record from the dashboard and to store any responses in the client's record.

This is a great step; however, it would be much more useful (to me anyhow) if we could also "reverse sync" the gmail calendar into the Infusionsoft application. If this can be done, I'm not seeing it...

Very easy to set up, easy to get running, and easy to use. My only issue or want if you will, is I'd like to sync my google calendar.

This is not a true calendar sync. It's read only and not at all what we were expecting. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!

LOVE this! I've known about the Outlook plug-in for a while, and have been hoping a plug-in would be coming for Gmail. Thank you!!

We have been using GmailCore, (which is now Infusionsoft Sync) for over a year and paying for it and absolutely LOVED IT.

I am thrilled that to see that it is FREE now. Thanks Infusionsoft for the gift that will keep giving month after month. Our team uses Google Apps with Firefox as our browser and had no trouble installing this new add-on. We did remove the old add-on as suggested in email.

If you don't have this add-on now, stop what you are doing and install it. You'll love it. We have also signed up for AppointmentCore and I am loving it so far. We are big fans of everything from AutomationCore.

Installed this for Firefox and it was working within 1 minute. While it's not as sexy as a full blown Rapportive sidebar, it has all the data you need from IS and makes it very easy to add new contacts. You can also trigger campaigns from the sidebar which is great. We have an internal campaign that creates tasks and assigns tags if someone shows interest. Now we can just fire it up from gmail and the proper team member is alerted. I DID NOT see any historical emails syncing, nor did I see any of the emails I sent after installing the sidebar in IS. After looking at the settings you must enable the sync, it's not enabled by default. Neither is the calendar sync. Just a heads up.
